I was 11 and got mine while visiting my dad during the holidays was super embarrassing he gave me a lecture on how I've become a woman over the phone while he was at work, my step mum gave me the fattest pad to use and my sister invited my cousins to come over for the night too,  then mum got upset because she wasnt the one to help me through the 1st time and give me the talk... sister got hers at grandmas, don't think my mum got the chance to help us through any of our fist periods.

I got my period around age 14, but it was super irregular. I had it maybe 2-3 times for the first few years, then only 5-6 times a year up until I was about 18 when it finally became regular.

Totally didn't affect my fertility, we got pregnant the first month we tried. 😂

Other than that no embarrassing stories. 🤔

I was 12 and I started in the morning but my mom wasn't really sure if it was the "real thing" I guess?? So I just put on a liner and went to church deciding to ignore it. The next day I forgot about it and went to school only to find that it WAS my period after all. I had to go to the nurse and get the THICKEST pad ever and literally waddle around school. Looking back it was literally just spotting and a pad wasn't even necessary but.. yeah.

I was going to bed when I was 12. I went to the bathroom and wiped and there was blood, so I told my mom I had started, she gave me a pad and some ibuprofen , which I used and then went to bed. I've had some less glamorous incidents since, but my first period was not dramatic.

I was in a dermatologist's office with my mom and felt a 'gush' when we were in the elevator.Immediately ran to the bathroom and saw what happened.Got really scared and then went to ask for a tampon and then after mom's appointment she took me shopping for supplies and some new underwear😂

Mine started on Christmas morning. I was 12. So basically, I've always been closer to my mom and her family, but I was spending Christmas Eve night with my dad: then Christmas morning it was planned that he would take me to my aunt's (mom's sister's) house so I could celebrate with my mom's side of the family. My relationship with my dad was always pretty strained and awkward, so imagine my horror when I woke up Christmas morning at his house... and I'd started my period! 😨 Thank God I at least knew what was happening. I shoved a washcloth in my panties until I got to my aunt's house (which was only about an hour) and then my mom  was out shopping & not there 😱. At least my aunt is an OBGYBN nurse... she and my grandmother were super cool about it and helped me out, took me to the store for pads, etc. Interesting Christmas gift though lmao! 🎄🎁 😄

And, to top it off not only was I in 4th grade and the only girl wearing a A cup bra. But I had just been sat down the day before and given "the talk" Oh, yea, and when it happened, I was at school and completely unprepared! I was smart enough to use toliet paper and managed to hide my period from my mom for almost a year. I didn't tell her bc I was embarrassed and afraid she would yell. Instead I got yelled at for not telling her.

Mine started when I was 10. It was the day before I when to summer camp, it was also the first time I was away from home without my family. I don't cramp , and I didn't then ether but my flow is that of a murder scene, I had to change my pad like 6 times a day .
