any one have any advice or tips for going through adoption?!

I'm not due with my little one until September but now is the time I have to start looking at families and it's feeling more real and scary. Anyone else choose adoption for there baby? Have done adoption? I wanna hear stories and advice! Please and thank you :)

I don't have personal experience, but I do have a friend from college who made the decision to place her child for adoption. She chose an open adoption and remains in contact with her son (now 15). She has a close relationship with the whole adoptive family. I know it was not an easy decision, but she always says how blessed she felt knowing the gift she was giving both to her own child and to the adoptive family. I admire any woman who is strong and brave enough to make this difficult decision. My prayers are with you!

I'm adopted myself but never had to consider giving my baby to adoption. Let me tell you that what your are doing is very brave and amazing. I'll just ask you to make sure your wishes are complied with and if you have any intention of not having any type of contact at all then leave them something so the baby can later understand why you are sending them to adoption and so they don't feel unwanted. My first I gave up for adoption. It was so hard!! But the best thing I could have done. What kind of questions do you have if you need someone to talk to I am here. I remember picking a family I remember the pain and the loss and it's been eight years but not a day goes by still that I don't think about my baby girl.

I want to thank you for doing this for your baby. You're so brave, and it will mean the world to the family you pick as well, and countless other people throughout your child's life. 
My husband was adopted. His birth mother nearly chose abortion, but changed her mind at the last minute and I'm so thankful she did. He's such a precious soul, and he wouldn't be in the world without his brave birth mother making this selfless choice. 
So thank you. I know it's not an easy choice, but you are doing a truly incredible thing for your child. ❤️

I have personally placed two babies for adoption together. It has been one of the best experiences of my life. They are now 9 & 8, placed when they were babies. I have an excellent relationship with them and their family. Now my husband and I are having a baby and it feels amazing to be able to do it all knowing I get to bring this baby home from the hospital with me. I am glad that I choose to give them what was best and not put my selfishness before them. They are thriving and happy! If you have any questions or just want to talk I am here!
