Do you have to take the reminder pills for birth control when your on your period?

I never did when I was on it. In the pills I got they came with days of the week stickers to put on it if you don't start your week on Sunday. I always used that (started on Weds) and had an alarm set on my phone. 
The reminder pills are simply there to help you get into the habit of taking a pill at the same time everyday.

No, they are just that, reminder pills but make sure to start back up when you're supposed to. I wouldn't always take my reminder pills (I'm no longer on it) and I think I had forgotten to start taking them for like three days. Whoops! Set an alarm if you hadn't already.

I would would just skip over to next month. It was nice because I wouldn't have my period, plus my Dr. said it was totally fine. She said there's no need for us to menstruate every month. I just stopped taking the pill, had my first period in like a year. The only downside of it is you go through your pills just a bit faster.
