He doesn't know what he wants

So I've been with my bf for almost 3 years and I've asked him before if he wants to get married or have kids with me and he always says no. I don't get the point of being in a relationship with someone if you don't want something that lasts. I'm not saying if we don't get married or have kids we won't last but he doesn't want what I want. I think its about time I got rid of this relationship. I know people change their minds but I don't think it's good to stick around and wait for that to happen.
