Long sleeve shirt with shorts?

Anybody think it's stupid to wear a long sleeve shirt with shorts? I bought a super cute long sleeve shirt today that I wanted to save until this winter but guys I really just want to wear it now but the issue is it's so hot.😩 I thought about wearing it with a pair of shorts but at the same time I feel like I'd look stupid, I've seen other girls do it though but I don't want to go out looking like an idiot. I need opinions.😂
