Trying to conceive ?

Before I got married I hardly ever got my period I would go almost one year with out getting my period now that I'm married and sexually active my cycle is normal but it's still a lil off about a month ago I was over a week late took a pregantcy test it said I wasn't pregant I am just consered that I can't get pregant we been trying since 6 months and I always had a fear in the back of my mind that I would have a hard time trying to get pregant because my cycle was not normal at all but like I said now that I am married it's pretty normal a doctor told once I am sexually active my cycle will go back to normal he was right but that tought in my head is still there from my past promblems with my cycle that I can't get pregant so is there any one out there that had the same promlem I had? And got pregant  please just need my mind to be at peace
