Polyamorous?

Question

My husband and I want to bring a girl into our relationship. Not just for a sexual threesome, but as an actual relationship that includes all three of us. Dating, hanging out, enjoying time with, etc. 
Has anyone tried this and had success?
We've already talked about boundaries and rules and made sure we both understand what we're getting into.
Where would we find a female that would be interested in this?

I'm in an unsuccessful poly relationship. Which is weird because I'm still in it.

It's an unhappy poly relationship because my SO's other girlfriend (who thankfully does not live with us) hates me to no end, despite my relentless kindness and compassion towards her.

But I won't get in to that because I've found my zen on the situation and she isn't worth my feelings of frustration.

I'm completely monogamous by nature, so my bf has had to explain his poly feelings for me many times. So assuming all poly people fall in love the same way, I'll just give you a warning: even though you both may truly love this new woman, if things start to go south, preserve your relationship with each other and leave her.

Also, I'll state this simply because it may not be common knowledge: a poly relationship is most definitely not all about sex - even the good ones aren't. There's a lot communication involved - so much so that more often than not, you three will be talking and getting on the same page rather than having sex. Also! Don't let emotions build up by lack of communication because eventually shit will hit the fan. If you notice your man or this other woman looking kind of distant, talk about it right then and there.

With all that being said, try out OKcupid. It's a fantastic website for both monogamous and poly type relationships.

Poly relationships are tons of fun! BUT communication. I don't think anyone can stress just how important that is.

My sister is in a successful, loving, poly relationship. No jealousy, no hurt feelings. She has told me the #1 thing to remember is to communicate and to do that often. They have rules/boundaries and so far have had a good time. Her bf and her have both been with different people and brought them to the relationship. I think you should do it, just telling people you're poly could help you find someone. My sister says that the more she opens up about it, the more poly people she finds! Good luck!

Good luck to you! I'm neither for or against polyamorous relationships-I don't give a damn what anyone does with their lives. I have a question though, how do you even bring this up to your partner? Was it hard to let the communication flow? I wonder because I'm a very emotional woman and if my SO brought this to me I'd cry with self pity. Lol

In my experience, communication is key. A lack of proper, mature, open and honest 2-way communication is what contributed to the demise of my first triad, which ironically is where I met my husband. I'm willing to bet money that had there been better communication on all of our parts, myself included, then we'd still be together to this day. It's a good thing that you've already discussed rules and bounderies and things. That's a great start. Keep that up, and things should go fairly well. OKcupid would be a place to start, and so would fetlife. A warning though, fetlife is quite explicit, but it's not all just about kink and sex and whatnot. My husband has another "wife" not legal . But you get the drift . We're all great we don't live together there is some jealousy on her end beacuse him and I have been together so long and have a child together and have our own place . And she is not in my shoes . She is pregnant . And him and I are ttc #2.  But over all were all happy and love each other . I wasn't always so open to it it took a lot of time for me to be comfortable in my relationships.  And it's now been a little over a year .

I'm curious about this. Would it be like you all love each other equally or she's like the "side chick" of this? I've heard of relationships like this but I could never deal with the extra person, I think

Not possible. Jealousy will be inevitable eventually. That's just my opinion obviously
