Is it worth it to buy a cute delivery gown like this one?

I wouldn't even bother. Odds are the gown you are wearing is going to get bloody and whatnot, then immediately after you're going to shower. I would suggest a light robe.

You will want the ones the hospital gives. Sometimes they have different ones for different stages of labor. Main thing to look for is easy access to completely open up on chest/belly for after baby is delivered for immediate skin to skin and then nursing afterwards.

I'll be the odd ball and say this is my third baby and I've had one every time. I love it and it's worth it to me. I hate the hospital ones I'm so small that I can step on them and fall. And I have to constantly worry about the back opening so annoying. These are cute and fit perfect and add some personality to your hospital photos. Plus you can tuck the baby into the top opening for skin to skin and for feeding. This is mine for this time.

I bought one of these for my first pregnancy. I had a c-section (scheduled) so it didn't get ruined. I liked having it on during the record time and it was great for nursing.

I just wore a nursing tank top with both my kids and plan on doing the same with this one during Lunch & Delivery. I hate those damn gowns and I'm so much more comfortable in just a tank top. Not only that, but as soon as they were born and put on me, they felt my chest right away, not a scratchy hospital gown.

I really wanted to: I really didn't like the idea of wearing the hospital gown and my butt hanging out. My they're kind of expensive for something that's going to get filthy! So instead I went to a Walmart and found a comfy, soft tank top nightgown for $8...I cut the straps and sewed on some snaps for skin to skin and breastfeeding. It was a total of $10 and it's so cute!
