How safe is the graco snugride 35?

Hi everyone! So my awesome mil offered to buy the graco modes click connect travel system which comes with the graco snugride click connect 35 infant car seat! I know that the chicco keyfit 30 is the safest car seat right now but I don't like it as much as the graco car seat. Of course my babies safety takes priority but I can't afford the chicco travel system and neither can my mil even though it's only a $100 difference. So my question is how safe is the graco car seat?

My baby is due in 5 weeks so i haven't used it yet, but i just set up this same stroller/car seat. I love the feel of it. The Graco recall was from 2014 and on a different model. This model has met all safety standards. I would personally keep it! (I am a FTM and a research nut lol)

The recall is from 2014, and the 65 model... not the 35

I have the grace modes. We haven't used it yet, but it seems safe to me and we like it so far.

No car seat is actually safer than another. They all have to meet the same safety requirements

I was going with that one then my MIL sent me some Grace recall.. so she ended up getting the chicco... another option could be that your MIL gives you the money she was going to spend and you all put the rest with it or if you're having a baby shower see if you get some gift cards to use to make the difference
