should it take this long!?!

last Thursday March 12tg I had a Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) done because of abnormal tests for the baby. I still haven't gotten my text results yet! is that normal?

If they didn't have a big sample it can take up to a month. 1-3 weeks to culture and a week or so to do the test and send results. If there was a big enough sample to test directly you should get it 1-2w. I'm assuming you didn't opt for rapid FISH testing (which does t18 t21 the sex chrom. And maybe one other?) that only can come back within 48h but if you are looking for complete results it might take awhile. Ps: I'm in the same boat and I have to wait for the culture, it's driving me nuts

I would give it two weeks and if I hadn't heard back then I would follow up.
