What pads do you recommend for after giving birth?

I've always been a person that uses tampons and I plan on using a diva cup after my cycles return to normal. 
I want to stock up on pads for that period after I give birth to my daughter, but I have no clue what the good pads are. Any recommendations? I obviously want something absorbent but not too bulky (if possible)

Need to get all the pads you can from the doctor they are the best and get extra hospital panties too because they are really comfy

I plan to use the disposable underwear. My sister did with her last and said it was the best! I used a few with my miscarriage and they don't feel bulky. You can't really tell at all that you have them on and they cover everything! No leaks at all!

Tge hospital will have some but even when i used them up, i still had weeks of bleeding. I prefer kotex because it has a cottony feel. The always brand feels like plasticy to me and is unconfortable. Stayfree brand has a cottony feel too but has a strange scent even when you get unscented.

You need a bulky pad after birth. That's just a fact. Thin pads don't cut it after delivery.  The bleeding will eventually diminish but it takes some time.

Just buy depends. I used the hospital undies and giant pads in the hospital and the pad kept shifting and I leaked blood on my hospital bed. I didn't wana do that at home and you need room for the ice packs anyways. Trust me it's no fashion show it's a time for comfort. I made hubby go buy depends when I got home and it was so much more comfortable.

In the hospital I used the pads provided and made myself use the bathroom and change it every 2 hours. At home I use regular pads like Kotex that I used during my period. Hope that helps. Also buy stool softeners!!

I've found that Target brand is more absorbent than Always or any other name brands AND the price is way better. I used Always discreet underwear (disposable) after delivery for a while though because I had a lot of recovery issues and those were easier for me to get on and take off (I had to cut them off because I couldn't bend lol). If you do choose Always, they will send you coupons and sometimes samples if you go on their website!

I'm going to use depends for right after birth and come off of those as the heavy bleeding subsides.

I'm a fan of Always brand pads. They are typically pretty thin depending on which of their options you go with. I have two packs of heavy flow and one pack of the larger overnights.
