I'm so confused about it all do i count from the first day of my period or...from the first day of ovulation?

You can't ovulate the days in a row. Only one day has to be the lh surge. The darkest line you got was the Lh surge. After that you should ovulate (release an egg) 12 to 36 hours later. Sometimes ovulation is delayed for some reason so you'll get the positive opk but not actually ovulate. Ladies with PCOS or another hormonal imbalance van actually hand multiple + opks in a cycle and not ovulate. The only way to really know is to chart your basal body temperature and that's a whole other lesson. I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and it helped me a lot.

To know your cycle day you need to count from the first day of your period. For a 28 day cycle ovulation usually happens on cycle day 14. Days passed ovulation or DPO is how many days it's been since you ovulated. Glow is just a prediction. You usually have stretchy cervical mucus (cm) with the consistency of egg whites (ewcm) right before ovulation. The day you ovulate varies from woman to woman.
