opinions on bleaching hair?

I've seen several women bleaching hair at salons and they said their baby came out just fine. I also seen other women who said they wouldn't take chances. What are your thoughts on this?

According to the American pregnancy association, they say it's okay to dye or highlight your hair in pregnancy. They say there isn't much research on it but to wait until the 2nd trimester.
