Superstitions?

Question

I was recently rubbed with an egg to get rid of "evil eye" wasn't feeling very well. Ever done this before? What other things do you believe in?

I wear a chain around my ankle made of some special metal to ward off evil spirits. Husbands idea.

After about 7 years of wearing it, it broke and fell off. I immediately noticed (because it felt weird after having it so long) and put it on the table for him it fix. So for several hours I was without it, and the weirdest feelings and shit happened. Example: I remember feeling nervous and had what felt like horrible cramps under my sternum. Dog had multiple seizures, and my car wouldn't start. Normal stuff, right?

I didn't put it together until he got home and immediately fixed it and put it back on.  He didn't say anything, but he doesn't usually do anything useful right after he gets home -another oddity lol. Probably nothing, but kinda weird. His whole family flips out if they see a owl in daylight too.

My husband's coworker gave me this bracelet to wear to ward off the 'Evil Eye'. I'm not allowed to take it off. If it breaks, I can't fix it because it means someone had the evil eye on me and it has been warded away. She will get me a new one if this one breaks. This tradition goes way, way back even to the Egyptians. She gets it from her Jewish family. I think it's very thoughtful. :)

I "do/use" a few things with eggs n other things it's part of my beliefs/culture I don't consider it superstitious To me it isn't n to each their own
