Allergic to Formula? what are you using...

Hi Mamas- I have EBF until a few weeks ago. DD does not like the bottle (tried many) but will finally take one if I'm persistent and she's hungry enough.

With breastmilk she's fine, but if I mix with formula even an ounce she most vomits 1-2 hours later...like everything's she drank not just spit up. Both her and I have been drenched.

I have tried similac supplementation, gerber good start gentle, and HiPP organics.

Waiting to hear back from her doctor but curios if anyone else is struggling with something similar and what formula do you supplement with?

I go back to work in less than 3 weeks and don't have a big stash...

Not sure about the formula. My lo is ebf and I work full time.

I didn't realize this until I went back to work BUT you really don't need much of a stash when you go back to work because in order to keep your supply up and to keep yourself from engorgement/cloggedducts/mastitis you will need to pump for every missed feed while you're working and this should be enough for the next day.

I've been back to work for over two months. Baby girl takes 10oz while I'm away for 8.5 hours, and I pump at least 10oz in two sessions -- BUT usually it's between 12-15oz which has been allowing me to build my freezer stash!

This was happening to my little guy and our pediatrition said it could be a sensitivity to dairy and to try and switch to a sensitive formula because the milk proteins are easier to digest. We've had good luck so far with Similac total comfort. The dr. said if there was no improvement with sensitive formula to try a hypoallergenic one such as nutramagen or alimentum.

We formula supplement and use Baby's Only formula. They do have a soy option but is also organic and non GMO which can be more gentle on a tummy.

My boy had the same issue. Turned out he had a milk protein intolerance and bad reflux. We moved to Nutramagin and got him on Zantac, and now he's much better.

Soy has worked wonders for my daughter.  She broke out in a full body rash when we tried Enfamil Gentlease, so we switched to the Similac Alimentum (hypoallergenic), but she spit up ALL the time!  We tried soy after that and she spits up maybe once a day if that.
