is norco safe??

I'm supposed to have a wisdom tooth removed and my dentist prescribed some antibiotics and norco for pain. I've been taking both and I just found out I am 7 weeks pregnant. Obviously I am calling my OB and my dentist first thing in the morning but I was just wondering if anyone else had taken norco while pregnant or does anyone know if it's safe or whether or not it'll harm my baby??

I took it at 5 weeks cuz a doc misdiagnosed me w a missed miscarriage and I just got a tooth pulled at 28 weeks and took it for 10 days, my ob said as long as it's not for long periods of time & it's safer than Tylenol 3. I'm prescribed a few things in my third trimester than are considered unsafe but my doctors told me the benefits outweigh the risks.

I take it as needed for bad chronic pain issues, but my doctor advised against taking it on a 'regular basis'. The major concerns they listed to me were withdrawls when the baby was born (so avoid as much as possible late 3rd trimester) and unknowns reguarding long term addiction risks.

But talk to your doctor. They might have a different view point or conditions/history might effect differently.

Also check with the pharmacist. Sometimes pharmacists will know more than doctors.

You're very early in your pregnancy. I would be hesitant to take anything aside from Tylenol if I were you.
I'm from Canada and am not familiar with that drug but to play it safe I would wait until I spoke to my family doctor, not my dentist. You could always try phoning a pharmacy and speaking to their pharmacist.

I took it for 8 days while pregnant due to an injury. Baby was 100% fine when born
