Will they be able to tell the gender?

My first ultrasound will be at 13 weeks, will they be able to tell the gender by then? I heard if it's a boy they can, I'm just curious.

No. Not reliable at 13 weeks. At 13 weeks everyone thought my baby was a boy.

She is definitely not a boy.

They probably wont even guess. They aren't supossed to

Omg I went to a 3d ultrasound place and they told me boy. At 13w3d. 2 weeks later I found out it was a girl from my ob. Lol so try and be patient. Sucks to get excited for the wrong gender.

Only if you get a gentic screaning test which will cost you out of pocket called the harmony test but its mainly for those who have possible gentic disorders they want to rule out like trisomy 13 21 and any other abnormal gentic disorders if i were you i would wait till 18weeks to 20 week anotomy scan it wont cost you as much here in aus it cost 500 out of pocket for the gentic screaning test good luck

When I had my ultrasound at 13 weeks they didn't tell the gender, I think it's because the sexual organs aren't as fully developed at that point so they can't really see what it is, so they tend to wait until you're around 20 weeks
