clomid tips, advice?

Going to start clomid this week. What should I expect? Any advice or tips would be helpful. Like can you have sex while taking the pills? Or do you have to wait? When does the dr check you again after taking clomid?

You can have sex while taking the pills, but I would suggest taking a day or two off before your fertile window starts. Use ovulation tests to pinpoint when you ovulate (if you don't already). I ovulated different days while on Clomid than I did before being on it. 
My doctor prescribed two-months worth of pills at a time. I would call her at the end of the two months to update her on progress and tell her how I was feeling. She would then prescribe the next two months of pills. I got my BFP at the end of my 4th cycle on Clomid. 
Here were my symptoms:
50 mg: bloating, abdominal discomfort, hot flashes/night sweats
100 mg: all the above plus headaches and night sweats
