Does folic acid help with getting pregnant? Want to get pregnant and would like to know some great vitamins that help

I can't give you a clear medical answer but I can share an experience. On my mothers side of the family there are four sisters. In our family is a blood condition called hereditary spherocytosis which requires the spleen to be removed and to daily take folic acid. Of the four sisters three developed the blood condition and one did not. The three with the blood condition are all extremely fertile and have all had over four healthy children. The one sister that does not have the condition, hence not taking folic acid, had one child and then struggled for 9 years to have a second one. Probably a coincidence. But I have the blood condition and have been taking folic acid since I was diagnosed when I was 20. I get pregnant extremely easily. Unfortunately I struggle to carry a baby to term thanks to my other medical conditions... but it never takes me more than two months to conceive. Maybes it is coincidence. But folic acid is healthy and worth taking.

Folic acid doesn't help to conceive. It helps to prevent neural tube defects in the growing embryo. Prenatal vitamins just make sure you are getting all the basic vitamins and minerals is you're not getting enough from diet alone .

Take a pre-natal vitamin will give you folic acid :) they encourage women to take a prenatal while they are TTC as well as when she has conceived. Good luck and baby dust ❤️❤️
