5 weeks pregnant with cramps?

Hey guys, okay so I'm 5 weeks pregnant now and I'm experiencing some period like cramps that come and go. However, I have not had any blood flow at all. I was told this is my uterus stretching out and preparing itself? Yet, a coworker argued with me over it saying it wasn't normal at all. I am now starting to panic. I've had 2 miscarriages before, could I be on the road to another broken heart? Please give me some advice I'm scared.

I had "day 2" period cramps every single day until about 11/12 weeks. Currently 21w4d. Unless you're bleeding I'd say it's pretty normal.  Congrats!

Thanks for commenting guys! The advice is really making me feel better! I'm just so concerned every time I feel them and I keep checking for bleeding and so fat I've been good! I'm already so attached to my baby and I'm just so worried to loose her. I'm doing good with not stressing constantly, it's just when the cramps come and go I become worried!

I've had cramps every day for the past two weeks and no spotting (I'm 6w today). OB said that's normal and not to be concerned. You should be all good!

I'm in a similar situation and have been for the past 2 weeks (I'm 6w5d now) still no bleeding. I did find that a lot of my pain I think was wind related - did some relaxation exercises and passed a LOT of wind and it's def better. Still getting the odd twinge like a period pain but still as yet no bleeding. Went to my doc who had a feel of my belly and didn't seem concerned so I'm anxiously waiting for my scan date to come through and dreading seeing blood every time I go to the loo!!

I had period like cramps on and off most of my first trimester. It can be normal but if you experience anything else like bleeding or spotting then you should talk with your doctor.

Same boat! I am 5 weeks and I have had cramps every day since 3w4d. In fact, cramps were what told me to test. I've been told it is completely normal and have not had any bleeding either.

I just saw my doctor last week for first appt.  He said period like cramps are due to uterus expanding and normal as long as no bleeding.  I am just barely 4 weeks along.   And boy are the boobs sore.
