When to tell people

I'm starting my 1st IVF cycle next week. Since I am an open person I have shared this with family, a few close friends and the people I work with (small childcare all women) The thing is...they all know I'm going through IVF, so is it okay to tell them when I find out I'm pregnant? I know its taboo to tell before the safe period of 12 weeks but since I have already overshared I feel like theres no way around it. Does anyone agree with sharing before 12 weeks pregnant? Can I hear some experiences?

Who cares about taboo! Do what feels right for YOU! I think it helps to have a support system through these things!

I felt with the people who knew we did ivf its kind of impossible not to tell them because if you feel open enough to share with them you are doing ivf then you have prob shared some details of how it works. So you can't really be like oh im having my emybro transfer I'll let you know the results in 12 weeks lol! Ivf is a difficult process from start to finish and having a support system can be great and just because youre pregnant doesn't take the worry or stress away and you may need some extra support getting through those early weeks. I think its all personal preference. Wishing you the best of luck.

I have a support system similar to yours and am going through IUI. My sister, mom, and a few close friends knew about it, and I shared my results with them too (negative so far).

I also miscarried about a year ago and none of them knew I was pregnant at the time. When I lost the baby, I really needed their support and wish that I had a chance to celebrate that little life with them before I miscarried, because all I shared was my grief when it ended.

If you think you'll need their support, whatever the outcome, then share and they'll be there for you either way!

I am on assited cycles (Femera) the people who I've told about, I do tell them after the TWW that it has been negative. I haven't really thought that far ahead if it was positive.

After 7 cycles, I've told less people each cycle. I hate breaking the BFN to them each month. It's like reliving a bad dream for me each month, making me sad & depressed. Good luck baby dust to you!

I read in one of the celeb mags that the Duggar daughter shared earlier on insta bc every life is a gift. I believe that too!
