Well my son was born in Tokyo at the Red Cross Maternity Hospital. I was in labor for 21 hours and had my awesome husband and three midwifes over the course of the very long day help me. It was by far the hardest physical thing I have ever had to do, but my son came out beautiful and healthy. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days after the birth, which is the norm here in Japan. Having a baby in foreign country is scary, but thanks to my family and the amazing hospital staff I made it through.
