How many times do you wash your hair??

How many times do you wash your hair a week? I used to wash my hair everyday up until a couple of days ago when I figured out that it was actually bad to wash it every single day, I was also told if I didn't my hair would grow a lot faster. Someone told me to wash my hair every three days but I was wondering if that was too long? I'm on day two and my hair is already super greasy looking.😮
