Today was my Anatomy Scan, we went in happy to see the baby. Well the ultrasound technician was pointing out every body part of our baby. Finally we were all done, and the technician said she was going to go get the doctor to make sure everything was good to go. Well 15 minutes go bye and the doctor finally walks in with a white slip of paper. He sits down and at that moment I knew something was wrong. He informed us that our baby had a cyst on the brain that can link to Downs Syndrome or Autism. At that moment everything else he said after blurred out and I totally spaced out. I tried to hold my emotions in till finally before he could even ask me if i had any questions I began to breakdown. So after talking with him and having an appointment right after. We decided to do genetic counseling and opt into testing to find out the possible of both. Have any moms on here experienced this? If so please share whether it was a good outcome or not.
