scared to try for my second baby

Hi ladies just wanted some advice on having a second baby. My son at the moment is almost 1 and a half and I'd like him and the next baby to be close in age but I'm scared that things will change drastically and that things would be too hard with two babies? Can I hear from second time mummies and how they coped after ?
