Umbilical cord stump

Hey ladies!! I was just browsing around and started reading about jewelry made with breast milk and you could use the cord stump as well...just got me thinking.

What are you ladies doing with the stump? Will you just pitch it? Memory book? Jewelry?

I mean afterall when you look down at the tiny human you made...that is the last bit that connected them to you...the last bit that gave them life. Now it's no longer needed, but to me, it's where this whole journey started.

My husband and I haven't found the place we want to call home yet, but once we do buy our house, we would like to bury it and plant a beautiful tree over it. Watching it grow as our daughter grows and blooms into the amazing woman she is destined to be.
