preemie feeding tube

K
What have other's experiences been with feeding tubes and their preemies? Our 35+2 preemie managed to avoid a NICU stay but then we ended up at the hospital a few days after going home due to feeding difficulties and losing weight. We are now home again with a feeding tube and every 3 hours we are breastfeeding for 10 minutes, bottle feeding, supplementing what she didn't take through the bottle with the feeding tube, plus I am pumping. It's a one hour+ process every time and we are totally exhausted. I so desperately want my baby girl off this tube so we can just enjoy her and our new life as a family. Many accounts I've read indicate that preemies just one day "get it" and start to take all their oral feeds like champs. What were others experiences? Any tips or words of encouragement appreciated!
