When do you plan on starting potty training?

I had planned on starting to introduce a potty as soon as my LO was walking reliably and really start training around 2 but I recently read an article by a pediatric urologist and now I'm questioning my plan.

So I'm curious what other mom's are doing and if you were aware this was an issue. TIA

My daughter is a year old and has recently learned how to take her diaper off. So i got her own potty and sit her down on it every now and then. If she goes, I congratulate her but I won't begin potty training her until she's about a year and a half or so. I'm just introducing it to her for now.

Not planning to until after his 2nd birthday, but if he shows interest before then I'll run with it. Ball is in his court until 2 1/2.

We're hoping to start our son soon, we're expecting our second baby in February and we're hoping to be potty trained by then!

I used to work at a daycare and we weren't even introducing them to the potty until after 2. It's all about waiting til they're ready. If you try to force it too early and it doesn't work, they can just end up taking that much longer to do it

Going to try just before 2 because at 1 she already hates changings we won't force it though. If it's too soon, it's too soon and we will try again at 2.

I'm not potty training but we do have a potty. 
My SIL said that when she tried to potty train her son he was scared when suddenly she was making him sit on the potty, especially as he'd never seen it before. 
So we have a potty next to our bath. When we are filling the bath we sit our daughter on it just for familiarisation. 
She gets so excited now when we're about to sit her on it, and she has done a few wees on it but that was more luck in relation to the timing of it. We did make a big deal of it, so hopefully she gets it into her mind that it's a good thing. 
We will wait to officially potty train until we see signs of readiness but figure familiarisation of the potty can't hurt.
