Pain killers after C-section

Hey, girls. I wanted to ask you if after your previous C-sections you have had any pain killers? I don't know how it is in other countries but in my country they usually give the women some medications after the surgery. In my case they didn't give me anything from the day after and since I'm pregnant with my second I really nead to know what is the practice in other countries in order to insist for some pain killers after the surgery. Thanks a lot!
