At the start of my third trimester, I noticed some soreness on my tongue and thought nothing of it, thought maybe I ate something that was too hot. The soreness continued until my tongue looked like parts of it had been stripped of the tastebuds. At first it was diagnosed as thrush and then later as geographic tongue...the weirdest thing I've ever seen and it seems that there's no known cause or cure. A random guess by the doc is that pregnancy hormones started it and it should go when baby is born. Anyone else experience this?
