Ultrasounds?

We just found out we're pregnant! I have an intake appointment scheduled this next week and I'm almost five weeks, but I was wondering when you get your first ultrasound?

This is my baby at 5weeks I got mine done at a pregnancy center so I could get papers for work proving I'm pregnant. I'm getting another one next week for week 6 and an actual one from my doctor at 8weeks so yeah doctors always have you come around 8 weeks the ones I called told me that.

Mine was done asap but I also found out I was pregnant really late. Mine was done at 16 w 4 d.

Here it's 10 weeks and gender at 20 weeks

6-8 for a dating scan, 12-13 for the nucual scan (if u want it), 18-20 for a gender scan.

That seems to be the normal but I'm in Australia where they are all covered by the govt so no worries about insurance.

I've also seen quite a few women on here talking about a 14-16wk early gender scan aswell which we are thinking of having if they can't see at our 13wk nucual scan.

But yes others are right, ask your doctor & maybe you're insurance. Best of luck :)

My first ultrasound will be around 20 weeks. I'm in good health (no spotting, or pain/cramps, excellent BP etc.) Blood test came back without any concerns (Downs/Trisomy 21). Heard a strong little heart beat. Doctor and discussed it and she and I are good to wait.

6-9 weeks depending on your Dr.  A local Dr in my area doesn't until 12-15 weeks.
