I'm 42 and doing IVF with an extremely low AMH... almost in the undetectable range...

First cycle got 7 eggs... none fertilised

2nd cycle got 7 eggs... all fertilised.. 1 embie on day 5... had PGD.. genetically abnormal.. did not proceed

3rd cycle got 2 eggs... both fertilised... day 5 had 2 embies... had PGD... 1 genetically abnormal.. 1 normal. Had transfer but ended in miscarriage

4th cycle.. got 5 eggs... 4 fertilised... day 5 had 1 embie.. had PGD..  waiting on results.

Each round have also tried different protocols..

I had my egg retrieval today, only 1 egg out of 5 follicles. This is my 2nd try at IVF.  So happy I got the one. My last IVF cycle got me  ZERO eggs from 3 follicles. I do a mini stim since I am 42 years old and trying to conceive my first baby. I will find out tomorrow how this lonely egg is doing...wish me luck!

43 and had very low reserve, also have only one ovary.. second husband with vasectomy could afford one try.. icsi .. my max dose cycle resulted in 5 eggs 3 fertilized, one grade a blastocyst and two morulas (one of which was not "good enough" to freeze) so did all three instead of planned two on 5 day fresh transfer.. hard to feel if pregnant or not from all the meds but two week wait, but had high hcg levels and had twins! Lost one at 11 weeks but now healthy girl post amino 16 weeks.. throw your Hail Mary and see what happens.. even if it didn't work the most important thing for me was regretting not trying.. when I was in my process I cut and pasted all success stories to read and help my mind so I am delivering one now.. best of luck to all womankind. 😘

Is anyone priming with supplements and acupuncture? I've been taking a ton because I'm 42, AMH of .90 and I know my reserves are low, but I just want good quality if I'm only going to get a few eggs.  Start my stim in 3 weeks so.  This will be my first go around and also my first child...God willing.

My ovarian reserve was kinda low. Tried IVF and got 8 eggs; all fertilized; by day 3 only two embies; PGD testing and 1 was abnormal. Transferred the remaining one. It didn't implant.   We are going with donor eggs and getting it done at an IVF clinic in Cyprus. It's going to cost less than 1/5th of what it would cost in the States. It's been two years and I'm not getting any younger and I just wanna be pregnant with my man's baby, have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

I have DOR and will be requesting estrogen priming protocol for next IVF.  It has been shown to give better results for women with low AMH and elevated FSH.

With AMH 0.08 and FSH 16 we've been told egg donor is our option at this point. But doing a Clomid and Ovidrel trial this month as a shot since I'm told chances this way are equal to ivf at this point. Good follicle at 24x17 maybe a hope???

my amh is undetectable range at 0.15 going to see my RE Wednesday to discuss ivf even though he told me in the past only 5% chance. after two years, two failed iui's and low sperm count we're feeling desperate.  5% chance is better than 0%.  insurance here covers zero. we thought luck might be on our side.  my age 39 soon 40. he's 29 soon 30. but they also told me I wouldn't have any eggs or very few. I made only one follicle every month except one and they were steady telling me my chances are terrible.  I don't think they looked at all sides. they aren't putting the whole picture together. anyway. best of luck to all and wish me luck.

Lol. I said the same to my RE about the not being too bad for my age and he said "well pretty good but it's pretty good out if a bad level".  He's just being honest I guess.  Anyhow just started last week with the ivf and at baseline I had 11 follicles!  I will say that a month prior, I had only 7.  This is after 3 months of Chinese herbs and acupuncture, ubiqinol, fish oils, maca, Royal jelly, wheat grass, dhea & prenatals.  After 4 days of stemming, they see 6 follicles. I've been told that's my minimum and it's possible the number can go up from there.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that miraculously I will have at least 10 since I know the likely hood of them surviving is very low.  I will keep you all posted with the end results if my crazy cocktails of supplements end up giving me good results at my age.  Just need a couple of good eggies!

I did IVF with AMH of 1.06 at almost age 41 but had a crappy cycle and ended up with only 2 follicles.  Cancelled the cycle and did timed intercourse.  BFN
