What's the difference between cervical mucus and vaginal discharge?

Is it the same thing? Is the stuff in my underwear my cervical mucus or do I actually have to feel around my cervix to do a CM check?

"Discharge" refers to just that. A discharge of the fluids of the reproductive tract exiting the vaginal opening. Cervical mucus is a mucus excreted by the cervix. People keep tabs on it because it's capable of helping or hindering conseption because it can affect the sperm.

If you don't have much you can put your finger up around the cervix to collect it there for monitoring. The egg white mucus is your most fertile mucus so if you want to conceive its the kind of cm to keep an eye out for.

It's the same thing. It comes from the same place unless you have an infection or medical problem. Cervical mucus changes consistency and colour throughout your cycle to tell you when you are fertile and ovulating. It's a very important thing to know when you are ttc 😊

You don't have to insert a finger to find your cm. It will be on your toilet paper when you wipe.  It's easy to find when you look for it.
