I used Shea Moisture - it's a combo of Shea and other oils, very rich and I got it from Babies r us. It was wonderful! No stretch marks yet I'm 31 6d! I heard it was hereditary, but I think it's both. I think it's a combo of how quickly you gain weight (aka how quickly you put pressure on your skin to stretch) and how soft and supple the skin is as it's stretching. The genetics can play a role in how quickly you gain weight, or maybe it can be controlled by monitoring how much you eat, making sure you eat the recommended amount and not over it. I think careful eating combined with daily moisturizing can help. The skin will eventually stretch more and more, but it will stretch slower, and it will be more supple as it stretches. I think that leads to a very small chance of stretch marks. I just think of stretching leather shoes, it takes a while, you go slowly up a size so you don't damage the leather, and you keep the leather conditioned.

Bio oil!!! Love it! I started using it for every thing! I used it my whole pregnancy and barely have visible stretch marks, I have stretch marks on my boobs from breastfeeding but those are clearing up. I ecen use bio oil as primer for my makeup. I love it.

My mother and grandmother did not had stretches. I do. Came up during last three weeks of pregnancy. I did not wear any belts, they do not help preventing stretches. But I used Weleda oil to soften my dried skin on the belly. Think, it did it's work. At least, stretches are only around a belly button, which suffered the most, it literary had flattened during the last month. Now, when it's getting like it was before, the stretches hide a bit.
I did not had allergy to Weleda, too.

So I definitely recommend Weleda.
