Montessori floor bed????

Question

Ok I've got a horrible sleeper. He's almost 6 months... he sleeps in bed with me, and nurses all night.

I tried sleep training him last night and I just can't do it and I mean I TRIED. I was VERY determined..He screamed and looked for me all night 🙁 my daughter was WAY easier to sleep train and I'm all about it but wow it was tough and I don't have the heart to do it anymore, it's not the right fit for him..

I got the crazy idea to do a floor bed that I could slowly transition him to sleeping on his own, I could sleep with and nurse him when he needs.. teach him to go down on his own at bedtime...and naps.. seems like the perfect solution so that I'm at least making progress with him, and teach him independence but still give security. it would be HIS bed HIS room rather than mine.

Anyone have positive results with a floor bed?? 
I'm sooooo desperate he wakes all night it's horrible I just need a brake in the evenings 😭

I know this is an old post but in hopes of you seeing this, how did it turn out? I m considering trying Montessori bed for the same reason

Worth a try! No experience yet but we are planning to implement a lot of Montessori practices when the baby comes.

Some people find it to be a lot more of a smooth transition. Mostly because you can just start moving farther away easily and LO is still able to see you. You just need to make sure no outlets are visible, same with cords. Floor is always clean, and the carpet is soft enough to where if LO rolled off the bed it wouldnt be too much of a shock. The roll off doesnt hurt, but it does startle the first few times. Just keep in mind that once you use a floor bed, there is a chance LO won't go into crib. So if you plan on doing it long term, baby proof like no other.
