how long does IVF take?

I hear some couples take years for IVF to work. My question is for those who had successful IVF on the first try. How long did it take from first appointment with fertility specialist to BFP?

Once you give the go ahead do they start right away in your next cycle?

My first appointment was in mid-July, and I did not start my first IVF cycle until late November. (Got my BFP December 22nd.) There is A LOT of preliminary testing that has to be done between the first appointment and starting IVF, and some of it has to take place during certain times in your cycle. So it can definitely take awhile to actually get started. Best of luck to you!!

My first consultation was November 2016! I had to wait till I got my period to start the actual process. I started injections in April and I am 13 weeks with twins 😁
