Tragic Loss
During labor I developed a bad infection. In an emergency c-section on June 14th, 2017, I gave birth to my beautiful son. The infection got the baby sick. After fighting for nearly 14 hours, he passed away. The infection nearly killed me. I went septic and into kidney failure. Luckily, because of some incredible doctors, I just made it out of the hospital and will eventually make a full recovery.
Just trying to wrap my head around how my son and I were completely healthy when we went into the hospital to be induced, and both ended up extremely sick. I feel like I've become one of those tragic stories you read about and think will never happen to you.
