Should he take the job?

Ok so, my boyfriend drives motor coaches and generally charters professional NBA teams. Because of this, he tends to have a very rigorous schedule.

Well today we were supposed to spend the day together after not spending any time together for weeks. No dates. No movies. No cuddling. Nothing. He gets home so late that I usually go to bed alone.

Today his job called and asked him to charter the Cleveland Cavaliers (AKA Lebron James) this is his absolute favorite basketball player and this is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity.

We started arguing because he promised to spend the day with me.. 😞😞 I'm tired of his job coming first.

Am I wrong for demanding that he NOT accept the job?

You knew what you were getting into no? You can't fault him having a job-it's not fair to make him pick between his income and you.

I get that you haven't hung out in forever, but if this is a once in a lifetime thing, let him go. Have him take off after it's done.

He probably makes good money on the up side. I wish my bf would have a good job! As for his schedule, im sorry to hear it and i know its rough sometimes. Just try and stick it out and things will get better. I think you should just be supportive but also tell him about how you wish you guys could have some romantic time to yourselves.

PLEASE NOTE: my boyfriend and I have been together for three years. He just took this job in less than a year ago. I did not anticipate  it being such a rigorous schedule.

Today, he promised to spend the day with me because it was kind of his of day. He worked early this morning but was supposed to be off this afternoon. When he got to work and they asked him to do this charter for the Cavaliers

If you knew about his job before getting involved... yes, that would be selfish. If he took this job after you two were seriously committed... it should be a joint decision.
