How did (or will) you tell your DH?

Question

Hey ladies, how did you tell your DH when you got your BFP? Or how do you plan to tell him? 
You may recall from my saga that my BFP was Christmas Day... But my hubby saw it before I did! I'm trying to think ahead to next time & how I will tell him. He wants to know when I test, so he can be supportive of the BfN's, too... But I want a cute/ fun thing to do when I walk out of the bathroom. I read someone's blog post that said I could tell him: "I'm not feeling so well, but I can't read this thermometer, can you?" (While handing him the pregnancy test)... But I'm not totally sold on it-- especially since I'm a nurse & he knows I can read a thermometer!! 😝
Also thinking of maybe hiding a onesie/ pacifier/ gift in the bathroom... Then when I get that BFP, I can bring out with me to give to him.

Any ideas?!?! I'd love to hear your stories, too. 😊

I had a sense I was pregnant for a couple of days before I tested, but I was too nervous to tell DH in case I was wrong. But I decided I'd test one morning, and when the second line showed up, I hid the test in a drawer and started getting ready for the morning. I was really shaky and after awhile DH noticed and asked if I was ok. I hugged him and started crying and then there was no way I couldn't tell him they were happy tears. He hugged me for a long time and ended up late for work that day. :)

I didn't tell him that I was testing, I figured it was going to be negative. Then I was absolutely shocked/surprised that it was positive! I nervously called him into the bathroom to look at something. He came in and I showed him the test and asked him if he thought it was positive. He held it the wrong way so I corrected it for him a and he had a huge smile on his face when he said yes! 
It wasn't planned or thought out but I know well never forget it! 😊 
Next time I may surprise him just now sure what I would do!

I'm not "allowed" to test without him haha. He absolutely has to be there when I test. He was sleeping right outside the bathroom in our room and he got mad when I tested once while he was sleeping. I do want him there though because I think I may faint the day I get my BFP. I'm a nervous nelly about having kids, and I've never fainted before, but if I had to put money on if/when I ever would it would be BFP day haha. I'm looking forward to creative ideas to tell my parents and siblings. Extended family I think we may go make wine and bottle it ourselves and have due date labels and hand them out at a family party. My family are all big wine drinkers!! Look forward to hearing everyone else's!

I love these.. And I would love to surprise hubby one day but I am not too good at holding information from him I would probably burst into the bedroom jump on the bed and yell at the top of my lungs haha

I thought to surprise my hubby, we are big Scrabble players and I was going to spell out congratulations daddy, but I was nervous and spotting and they were very faint to start. Couldn't hold it in and needed his support, so we gradually saw the lines getting darker together 😊.
