When did you get excited about being pregnant ?

I'm currently 10 weeks with first baby ... and still not excited about being pregnant . Is this normal ? All I can think about is the changes to come and how am I going to do all of this ? Plus I'm sick daily .. still not showing (not complaining) and haven't told my family yet .. so I'm thinking that's maybe the underlining reason for my ambivalence. 
Seems like most moms were happy from the moment they tested positive .. yet I've felt numb . Just wandering when this feeling passes ..... ??

i was miserable at first too. didn't start becoming happy until around 16-17 weeks. when i found out she was a girl & started feeling her kick i really started to get excited. & knowing she was a girl really helped because it made me want to start shopping

Yup excited at first, then the last 5 weeks I've been miserable. The last 2 have been the worst. Hormonal, emotional, can't get my head around all the changes and not getting any support from my oh hasn't helped. To them they can't see any changes so assume everything is the same, yet inside you feel like the ground could swallow you any second. However the last 2 days (I'm 14 weeks tomorrow) I've been feeling better, went out with friends last night and it took my mind off it all and made me realise I'm still me!

Finding out the gender, shopping and getting things ready will all help. You've got several months still to get used to this. Your life will change dramatically but when you're holding that precious bundle you will wonder why you weren't excited sooner :) Being a mom is such a tremendous privilege, and joy!! Give yourself time. You'll love it soon enough ❤️

10 weeks and I'm miserable . I got really excited once I felt kicks the first time at 17 weeks!! Right now I'm so sick and it all doesn't seem real so I'm not excited yet

I was super excited at first, as soon as I took my test I was happy. Then I started regretting it around 16 weeks because I was thinking about how this is my first summer being 21 and how I should've waited. Now at 25 weeks I am back to being super excited again! It's perfectly normal for your mood to swing and you not feel like you thought you would! It'll pass 😊

I got excited when I first heard her heartbeat. Then at the gender scan I was even more excited because we knew she was a she. And she had a name.
