HELP!!! two periods?!???! is that possible??

My period was light and then I had another period a week after the first one and the second one has been going on for almost 7days...any ladies have this issue? I got off birth control a while ago and have had steady periods but it was every two months . Is it possible to have " two" periods one right after the other??

When this happened to me last year, I took a pregnancy test during the "second period", and it was positive. Except I had apparently already miscarried and didn't even know I was pregnant (I was ttc at the time)

I would say to call your doctor.  This happened to me back in April.  I had about two weeks of bleeding in which it started out incredibly light for the first week.  Then, ten days later I started bleeding again for about 3-4 days.  My doctor told me to take a pregnancy test (which I honestly thought was a waste, but did anyway) and to watch for significant heavy bleeding such as filling a pad in an hour.  Unfortunately, mine turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy, but was caught early enough to treat without surgery. So yes, this can happen, but I would get checked by your doctor and I hope yours has a much better result!
