Just found out that I have herpes. I feel so ashamed, but is it common? Do you have it?

Herpes are pretty common. If you have ever gotten a cold sore, that's a form of cold sores. If you get a blister like sore around your vag, have it checked out.

A lot of people have herpes in the body it's just not active. It shows up as cold sores. A lot of people have it and don't know about it. Or they have it in them and can pass it to their partner because they carry it but they have no symptoms.

I have it and even though you may feel so ashamed right now (I did when I first found out 5 years ago) it will get better. It's so hard to go trough at first but there comes a period where you accept it, and when you find the right guy, it won't be an issue.
Almost everyone has herpes and may not even know it. 1 in 5 women do, and 1 in 4 men. 
It's so common there's just such a stigma. 
You are beautiful. You don't need to let it take over your life.

i have herpes, i have 13 sores on my lips at the moment, it's not reallllyyy an STI because you don't have to do anything sexual to get it.... i didnt lol, but i still got it,,, it really sucks but if anyone asks i just say it's a sun or fever blister.. that usually works
