Monthly cycle

I just recently got my marina iud taken out after having it almost 4 yrs and i had a little period the day after for a couple days thought it was time to have another one and i haven't had one im not sure if its being irregular due to not having one in a while or if im late or whats going on,ive been active with my partner should i take a pregnancy test or should I wait has this happened to anyone else?? Idk what to do
