Im 30 weeks now havent decided yet what carseat to get. But thinking to get this boddy support.  with my first child i had problem with her head faling here and there in the carseat i thought its going to be good option. What do u think about this item. Is it necessary to get one? Or u have any other option for head support?

Don't get extra inserts for car seat. Car seats are only tested with what they come with. Chicco comes with the inserts to remove at 11lbs. If u get anything extra it's not tested. You can always roll up receiving blankets if you really need to but typically it's safe without.

Making sure the car seat is installed correctly will prevent babies head from falling forward. Most car seats come with an infant insert, anything that you buy separately has NOT been crash tested and isn't recommended to use. Just buy one with a good infant insert and an adjustable base.

I used one on the bouncer but didn't like it in the car seat it just didn't seem right.

I wouldn't waste money on an item that may or may not be safe for baby. I'm pretty sure aftermarket carseat addons voids the warranty. If you are concerned with your baby's head flopping all over the place, use a rolled up blanket. My son was 4lbs 8oz when we took him home and the nurses rolled up a bunch of hospital blankets to tuck around him so he was snug in the much too big car seat.

Try this one. The red dial means you can adjust the base for the correct angle. It also has the infant insert.

We used a separate insert like the one I'll post below lol. The only padding it has is aroudn the head. I did not have one in her seat at first, but after I got it checked at the fire station I took this insert with to ask about if it was safe or not (she was less than a week when we went I think). They said it was okay to use because in the end, my baby's head wouldn't be flailed around in the event of a car accident and this would keep her head steady compared to the seat which was further from her head. They helped us set it up to where it was installed correctly. I recommend doing the same if you're still weary! We took it out after about a month old, but I'm glad we used it. We have a babytrend seat that starts at 5lb.
