Okay so, I found cream that is used to treat genital warts in my boyfriends toiletry bag (he travels for work). It doesn't say the prescription date but it was prescribed from a planned parenthood so I know it's prescribed for genital warts. We've been together for a year and two months. I'm worried I have the genital warts because I have symptoms of it... bleeding after sex, I have a small bump on my cervix, and my genital area just feels itchy and irritated. I'm going to the doc next week. But I'm worried about when my boyfriend would've gotten infected? I read it can take weeks to months for the warts to show up but surely he would've had to gotten infected within the time frame we've been together right?

UPDATE: Okay so now I realize he could've been infected long before him and I got together. And I've read the warts can go away and the virus can lie dormant but he can still infect other people. So now I'm just hurt that I could possibly have the virus now and if I don't, then I likely will at some point, and he never warned me. I don't even know how to bring it up... like hey I went through your bag and found wart cream..? Ugh.
