Awful Pregnancy Announcement

So my husband and I finally announced to our families yesterday. Unfortunately it did not go as planned. I received a lot of comments how I will need to drop out of college and stop working to stay at home. As well as we filled then in on the complications of me not having a thyroid. Which comes with an extremely low birth weight worry... my MIL responds that hopefully I will get gestational diabetes so it will help with birth weight! Why would she even think it is ok to wish another problem on me!?!? I ended up in tears at home later that night and upset... hubby being supportive thankfully. But I was very disappointed in how the day turned out. 😔
