Looks like a ear.. Can't really tell size wise in this picture. If your ear is to sma pretty sure they would tell you and not let you further with the piercing..

I don't think some things can really be judged by how big or small they are to get pierced. Yes some can but most places have different jewelry that can be used different with shape and sizes.

Most places will have a few different sizes of bars so I'd just check with the place you're going to get it done to see what they have.
