My son birthday is coming up next Friday and my husband and I are planning to BBQ and throw a lil party for him with the family. My mother asked me if I am going to invite my cousin and his husband and my husband doesn't like them. I'm not quite sure if it's because they are gay or what but I remember my cousin used to disrespect him & make him uncomfortable when we all would hang out and have family functions. But my cousin has matured since then and my husband doesn't know that cause he would not be around him to see the change. Every time I would invite him over he would always leave the function and make me choose between him and my cousin and I'm just like that's not okay because this is my house too and I pay bills here as well. This is our home and I understand that he is the man of the house and if he doesn't want him in his house I completely get it but at the same time I'm feeling like he is not considering how this is making me feel and how uncomfortable that it is for me because I want to have who ever I want over as well. He always say I should have a say on what man comes inside my house. You wouldn't like if I had some woman in here that you didn't like but I feel like this is a totally different situation and very immature and manipulating thing to say. I just don't know what do to!! I'm just tired of fighting over this every time I have a family gathering and I want my cousin there
