Do you think it's ok for anyone other than parents to kiss their child on the lips? Ex: grandparents

My MIL kisses my 18 month old daughter on the lips and I HATE it! My husband doesn't seem to think there's anything wrong with it! 😡

My parents give my son a nigh-night kiss on the lips. I don't have a problem with it personally.

If it was close family I wouldn't care but if it's someone I'm not close to then yea it's weird

We don't even kiss our kids on the lips. We tell them only daddies and mommies so that. Certainly wouldn't let anyone else!

I think it's fine. I always kiss my little nieces on top of the head (they are 3,2,1 and 4 months) but sometimes the 2 oldest insist that is not a proper good night/good bye kiss and insist on a peck on the lips. If it's just a couple seconds I don't see what the big deal is, it's not like they are making out. But I think it's a bit different when it's the child initiating it and not the family members forcing the kiss.

Grandparents is fine, friends, random people no. I don't know if they're healthy, if they possibly have anything contagious. I would just tell your MIL you don't feel comfortable with lip kissing because your baby could get sick

If it that close like grandparents it is ok
/ they have kissed you and you didn't become sick and also they do that to your husband/  unless they suffer from sick
