So we found out that we're having a little girl! The only problem is that I'm not as excited as I thought I'd be. Like I always pictured having a boy first and got used to the idea of a little boy. I'm
Not sure what I feeling. I'm glad the baby is healthy and growing well just numb in regards to the sex. Has anyone had this before? I feel like I should be over the moon but I'm just numb and not really affected by it. It's like disappointment but I don't want it to sound as bad as that is I'm sure when I see her I'll fall instantly I love but I'm scared as to why I don't feel that now.

I felt the same way! I was convinced the first 4 months of this pregnancy that I was having a boy. Always pictured myself having a boy first. I was disappointed at first. Still don't quite feel the "bond" they talk about.   I love my daughter already, I never pictured myself having a girl. At all. 😳 now I'm due in 9 days.

I wanted a boy, too, and cried duringthe whole appointment when I realized I was having a girl.

I allowed myself to have one sad day because I always had wanted a boy first, but I chose to move on after that. I have so many friends who have had miscarriages or have been trying for years to get pregnant. Here I am pregnant after one month of trying and I'm crying because I didn't get my way? One day of selfish tears for me, but now I know now that she's gonna have an awesome personality (because duh, I'm raising her) and she's gonna be a strong, beautiful female!

I hope you'll be able to come to peace with the news soon, too, so you can bond with the precious miracle that you're carrying 💕 She's going to be one amazing little human!

I really wanted a little girl, but my first baby was a boy. I was a little disappointed but all that went out the window when he was here. Now I'm pregnant with a little girl. It's normal to feel a little disappointed when your expectations and reality don't mesh. As long as you don't let it get you too down or let it effect your life in any other negative way I think you're good 😉

Gender disappointment is actually kinda common, like I for one wanted a girl so bad, and then when you set yourself up for having the gender you wanted by getting over excited at the thought and imagining the future it just makes it worse. When I found out it was a boy I was disappointed, I actually cried a little when I got home, but after a while you'll start to love the idea, and imagine scenarios with your kid that you wouldn't have with the other gender. It's fine not to feel anything right now it'll blow over real quick, trust me

Gender disappointment. It happens all the time and it's normal, I wanted a girl SO bad and I ended up with a boy and I literally cried over it I was so sad. Now I can't imagine not having my little boy, and I don't even want a little girl at all anymore. Just boys.😂
